About the Role 

We are seekinga MechanicalMaintenance Engineerwhowillberesponsible forensuring the highest standards of maintenance and asset care across the brewery, utilities, and water treatment plants.Focusing on end-to-end maintenance support,you will play a crucial role in both operations and maintenance within a semi-autonomous, shift-based environment, managing SAP process orders and maintenance planning as part of your rotational duties.

You will be instrumental in upholding our health and safety compliance standards,maintainingequipment and systems, ensuring asset availability and reliability to achieve high performance. In addition,you’llbemonitoringkey performance indicators suchasequipmentefficiency. Your commitment to these areas will be vital in driving continuous improvement and supporting the success of the team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Workacrosskey production areas such as raw materialshandling, thebrewhouse,thecold block, and utilities plants (water treatment, process utilities, and refrigeration)and support&understand departmental KPI’s.

  • Upholdsafety, quality, food safety, and environmental standards and procedures

  • Collaboratewith differentteams to effectivelyidentifyand resolve equipment-related issues that impact performanceandprovide a comprehensive maintenance backup service for production activities.

  • Coachoperatorstoperformautonomous maintenance tasks, machineoperationalsetups, and support growth in equipment capability asrequired.Support capital work including installation, commissioning, testing within areasas required; responsible for feeding into early equipment management.

  • Ensure all aspects of work order planning are delivered at start-of-shift meetings,includingspare parts planning for plannedmaintenance.

  • Oversight of issuing permits for external contractors.Understandand perform isolations for Diageo and contract personnel 

  • Apply Manufacturing Excellence tools and techniques to drive site performance towards world class in terms of customer service and quality

About you

For this role you will be a time servedMechanicalTechnicianand willhave obtained a minimum ofthe Junior Certificate or equivalent. 

Inaddition,you’llhave the following:

  • Ability to organise a variety of tasks and prioritise self and others accordingly 

  • Knowledge ofPMandReliability Maintenance techniques 

  • Understanding ofasset performance and maintenance strategy with excellent process improvement and root cause problem solving skills

  • Knowledge ofSAP-PM(Planning,schedulingandexecution)

  • Basic financial awareness, understanding of business drivers,maintenancecostsandbudgeting processes.

  • FMCG experience is preferred but not essential
