Media Sales Account Manager
Job Description
The purpose of this role is to work as part of the daa Media Sales team across the full advertising product portfolio (Digital, Static, Sponsorships and Creative Solutions).
The role is responsible for managing existing clients/campaigns, driving sales/revenue growth from existing and new clients, achieving stretch targets (individual revenue target of c.€2m) and developing sales strategies, creative solutions.
The role is also expected to take a leading role in driving our digital transformation by developing new revenue opportunities from our digital advertising expansion programme both nationally and internationally.
Responsibilities
- Manage and grow assigned advertising revenue within daa’s Media Sales team.
- Establish and nurture valuable working relationships with key personnel in direct businesses, international media agencies & OOH specialists and, delivering increased revenue and first-class customer service nationally and internationally.
- Lead the day-to-day account management function of existing and future advertising campaigns, ensuring daa Airport Media Sales is winning above and beyond its market share of ad spend.
- Assist in developing sales strategies and identify new opportunities for brands to increase their presence and impact across our full advertising product portfolio (Digital, Static, Sponsorships and Creative Solutions).
- Take a leading role in driving our digital transformation by developing new revenue opportunities from our digital advertising expansion programme.
- Collaborating with colleagues from other business units across daa to identify and create opportunities for brands to enhance their value and impact here.
- Manage the option, booking and implementation of client campaigns as required.
- Proactively and regularly meet/present to key media personnel.
- Represent daa Media Sales at all key industry events, gatherings and seminars.
Qualifications
- 5+ years experience in media or marketing with proven track record delivering business targets. Experience working in direct media sales is an advantage.
- Intimate knowledge of Irish/UK/US ad industry landscape is an advantage.
- Trading experience in out-of-home (OOH) inventory desirable
- Wide relationship network of key decision maker contacts – agency, OOH specialists & client side an advantage
- Experienced in negotiating trading deals
- Strong ability to manage multiple priorities and drive results in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in developing & mentoring colleagues
- Strong influencing / persuasion skills (esp. at senior level)
- Excellent sales pitch presentation design and delivery
- Personal adaptability & professional resilience to always deliver results
