Menswear Designer

We currently have a new vacancy for a Menswear Designer to join our buying and design teams based in our Head Office in Dublin City Centre The successful candidate will work with our buying and design teams on determining commercial trends and creating designs for our Menswear range. This is an exciting opportunity for a creative designer to join a dynamic team in a fast paced creative retail environment.

Some of the key responsibilities include the following:

Key Responsibilities:

• To work with the Head of Design to analyze and determine commercial trend for Menswear. 
• To create technical packs for supplier.
• Forecast and create colour palettes for Menswear.
• Drive trend within the section.
• Prepare regular reports on both competitors and aspirational brands.
• Research and Development trips to suppliers and inspirational trips.
• Design and spec up garments based on seasonal trends and update seasonal basics

Requirements:

• Successful candidates should be confident and be able to forecast and give presentations to all levels of management.
• Excellent computer skills full knowledge of Adobe creative suite.
• Create flair, originality and an eye for good design is essential.
• Excellent time management.
• Ability to multi task and work under pressure.
• Ability to work on numerous seasons at once.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Have confidence / presentation skills and be self-motivated
