Mental Health Service Co-ordinator For The Travelller Community

The Mental Health Division has adopted a programmatic and project approach with regard to the reform of Mental Health Services. The Mental Health Service Co-ordinator for the Traveller Community will be responsible for driving, managing and supporting the implementation of agreed improvement programmes and projects for the Traveller Community within CHOs and in collaboration with the Mental Health Division and voluntary providers, utilising the resources available through the Mental Health Division Programme Management Office.

HSE National Service Plans, Mental Health Divisional Plans and Connecting for Life provide detail on the scale of mental health reform and service improvement plans including both service delivery models but also underlying infrastructure improvements and ways of working. These include, but are not limited to:

· Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services

· Mental Health and Intellectual Disability

· Counselling/Psychological supports in Mental Health

· National Forensic Mental Health Service

· Services for those who are Homeless and Mentally ill

· Services for those who are Mentally ill and have Substance Misuse difficulties

· Service for those with Acute and Complex Needs

· Improving Performance Measurement and Reporting in Mental Health

· Improved approaches to Resource Management
