The College is seeking applications for a Mentor - Step Up Project for a fixed-term position until March 2026 based in our Strand Road campus.

The post holder will act as a Mentor for the Step Up Project to support participants to re-engage with education, training and pathways to employment.

STEP UP PROJECT DETAILS

The Step Up Project will offer tailored, individualised and mentor led support to priority groups of individuals who are often under-represented within skills and education opportunities. The project will support participants to remain in Further Education or move in to Further Education, Training and Employment.

The project will consist of three delivery strands targeting various groups:
  • College Connect + (16-23 year olds) / College Connect 24 + (for 24 + year olds),
  • Disability Access Route to Education and Employment (DARE),
  • Women Returners Access Programme (WRAP).
CONTRACT INFORMATION
  • Salary - Band 4 - £25,992 - £30,559 per annum
  • Duration: Until March 2026
  • 23 days annual leave per annum
  • NILGOSC Pension Scheme

RESERVE LIST

There is a possibility that a reserve list will be retained if more applicants are deemed suitable than posts exist. In the event the successful candidate fails to take up the post or if the post is vacated within 12 months of the appointment date, or if another vacancy arises within 12 months the post may be offered to the next person on the reserve list.
