We are currently recruiting for a Food Service Assistant to join our team based at Simon Community, Dublin. This is a great opportunity to join a world leading facilities management company.
Working Pattern:

We are currently recruiting for a Food Service Assistant to join our team based at Simon Community, Dublin. This is a great opportunity to join a world leading facilities management company.
Working Pattern:
- 14.5 Hours per week
- 2 days out of 7 as per rota
- 25 days’ annual leave (pro rata)

- Assist with the preparation of food in line with menu plans and company standards
- Serve meals to customers, Patients, residents, staff, or visitors in a friendly and professional manner.
- Support breakfest, lunch, and snack services as required by site needs
- Comply fully with food safety legislation and company policies
- Complete all required HACCP and cleaning records accurately using offical documentation
- Maintain high standards of personal hygiene, cleaniness, and allergen control
- Report any food safety or hygiene concerns immediately
- Clean kitchen equipment, service areas, and dining spaces in line with cleaning schedules
- Assist with dishwashing and waste management procedures
- Ensure all areas are left clean, tidy, and compliant at the end of each shift
- Assist with receiving, checking, and storaing deliveries correctly
- Previous experience in a catering or food service role (desirable but not essential)
- Basic understanding of food hygiene and safe working practices
- Willingness and ability to travel between sites
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Basic statutory training for the role will require all candidates to have basic reading, writing, speaking and listening skills to assist in understanding safety and work, instructions and communicating with customer on a day-today basis.
- Food hygiene level 2 (or willingness to complete)
