Mobile Migration Manager
About This Role:
Role Purpose
Reporting to the Head of Mobile Sales. The Mobile Migration Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing the migration of mobile services, devices, and associated infrastructure from legacy platforms to new environments. This role ensures a seamless transition for customers and internal stakeholders by minimising disruption, maintaining service quality, and adhering to project timelines and compliance standards. The Mobile Migration Manager acts as the primary point of contact for migration activities, driving operational excellence through detailed planning, stakeholder engagement, and risk management.
Expectations From The Role:Key Tasks
Project Management: Lead and manage the full lifecycle of the migration, from planning to execution and completion, while also supporting our bids and tenders with operational input.
Technical Oversight: Oversee technical aspects like data migration and mobile service transitions.
Risk & Compliance: Identify and mitigate risks, ensure security and compliance requirements are met, and manage project budgets.
Stakeholder Management: Coordinate with various stakeholders, including technical teams, business leaders, and clients, to ensure alignment and a smooth transition.
Mobilisation: Manage the mobilisation of new services and the transition of end-users with minimal disruption. Provide clear reporting and handle escalations
Team Leadership: Lead and coordinate the project team, allocating resources and tracking progress against milestones.
Service aftercare: Feed customer insights into product and process improvements e.g. Reporting, Project set up or Tools.
Key KPI`s
Timeline Adherence: The percentage of key project milestones met on or before their scheduled due dates.
Migration Success Rate / Error Rate: A high success rate and low error rate are critical indicators of quality.
User Satisfaction Scores (e.g., NPS or CSAT): Feedback gathered through surveys to measure user sentiment regarding performance, ease of use, and overall experience with the new system
Knowledge and Experience
Proven experience in project management, especially with migrations and complex customer environments.
Familiarity with relevant technologies depending on the migration type (e.g., Microsoft environments, Intune, data migration tools and MDM).
Strong organisational, communication, and presentation skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
