Moo`d Ice Cream Parlour Assistant

We are recruiting a Moo`d Ice Cream Parlour Assistant to join our team.

As Ice Cream Parlour Assistant, you will be responsible for the preparation of high quality hot and cold products and for ensuring customer satisfaction is the number one priority. You will prepare each customer order with great pride, passion and care and inspire customers through your knowledge and expertise of our fresh food offering. Your priority will be to demonstrate your passion for quality food, manage queues and maintain the highest standards in hygiene and food safety ensuring each customer receives an exceptional customer experience.

Relevant Skills/Experience:

  • Excellent communication skills;
  • Previous customer service experience is an advantage;
  • Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to multitask
  • A passion for food and the ability to inspire customers
  • HACCP training is beneficial but not essential.

Main Duties:

  • Ensure that customer satisfaction is the number one priority by greeting each customer as if it`s their first visit to the store and consistently deliver an exceptional service by displaying service excellence behaviours
  • Ensure that the counter displays across all areas, self-serve units and coffee area are always kept to the highest standards throughout the day.
  • Prepare prepacked foods, package, weigh and price products and ensure displays are kept to the highest standards with products faced off and date rotation.
  • Share knowledge, recipes and personal recommendations with customers. Keep up to date with changes in the range and key promotions; ensure you have tasted the products (as directed by Manager) so you can confidently engage with customers.
  • Deal with all customer queries and complaints politely, professionally and in line with store policy; Report back any customer comments, opinions and feedback.
  • Operate all equipment carefully and safely.
  • Adhere to Food Safety and quality guidelines at all times and ensure all aspects of food preparation, merchandising and cleaning are in line with HACCP guidelines and waste is managed in accordance with store policy.
  • Use your initiative to identify new opportunities or ways to improve the department/drive sales;
  • Perform any other duties as required from time to time.
