Job Overview
Norbrook are recruiting for an MS&T (Manufacturing Science & Technology) Site Manager to provide technical support and day-to-day management to Operations activity on site. The position is based in Newry and will report to the Head of MS&T. The successful candidate will provide team leadership, technical oversight and mentoring to the MS&T team based at the manufacturing site. This is an exciting time to join the team as we develop the capability of MS&T department within Norbrook.

Norbrook are recruiting for an MS&T (Manufacturing Science & Technology) Site Manager to provide technical support and day-to-day management to Operations activity on site. The position is based in Newry and will report to the Head of MS&T. The successful candidate will provide team leadership, technical oversight and mentoring to the MS&T team based at the manufacturing site. This is an exciting time to join the team as we develop the capability of MS&T department within Norbrook.
Main Activities/Tasks
- Lead and manage MS&T and cross functional teams including Quality, Manufacturing, Engineering, R&D and Supply Chain to facilitate the resolution of production issues and progress process improvement activities to existing products.
- Provide technical direction, oversight and coordinate support for root cause investigations at the manufacturing site.
- Provide leadership and mentoring for MS&T personnel.
- Lead and manage cross functional teams to perform activities required to deliver product transfers and new product introductions (NPI's).
- Complete technical assessments for products manufactured at the site.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders and program management to ensure alignment on MS&T activities and ensure resource availability.
- Build and maintain a mindset of innovation and continuous improvement within the department.
- Engage with external and internal partners to influence the design and implementation of robust process control strategies on process risk assessments.
- Oversee generation of product transfer documentation for commercial product transfers within and between sites.
- Provide technical input, review/approval for documentation associated with commercial product investigations, product remediation and process validation activities
- Interface with internal auditors and outside regulatory agencies/auditors as a subject matter expert for Norbrook products.
- Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering or related field
- Minimum 10 years experience in pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry
- Proven leadership experience with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team. Extensive experience from working in cross functional teams.
- Extensive knowledge of sterile manufacturing and solution/suspension dosage forms.
- In-depth understanding of regulatory and quality requirements in relevant area.
