Physiotherapy Service Mayo University Hospital

The department delivers inpatient services to:

Medical, Stroke unit, Elderly Medicine, CCU and off site in St John’s ward.

ICU and General Surgical wards,

Trauma and Elective Orthopaedics,

Maternity and Paediatric wards

Outpatient physiotherapy services include:

MSK Triage (Orthopaedics and Rheumatology)

Virtual Fracture clinics

Trauma clinics and MSK outpatients (Consultant referred)

Emergency Department – Front Door Frailty, MSK Soft tissue injury,

Women’s Health and Continence service (including UrogynaecologyTriage)

Acute Paediatric outpatients

Respiratory outpatient and COPD outreach

New physiotherapy services coming on stream are Cardiac Rehabilitation, Cancer and Lymphoedema and ongoing development of the seven day older person’s service.
