Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer

The Role:

• Implementation of relevant sections of BRC & Customer food quality standards to ensure all procedures are documented in line with standards and are audited regularly to ensure compliance;
• Ensure all equipment is maintained to a safe standard and complies with current legislation;
• Development and implementation of structured site preventative maintenance system for both mechanical and electrical systems and equipment;
• Maintain and update digital maintenance records on a computerised Maintenance Management Systems;
• Respond to Electrical and Mechanical planned & unplanned activities in a prompt manner;
• Support the development of the systems and procedures within the department to create a ‘Lean’ working environment.

The Person:

• Have at least 3 years’ experience in a similar role;
• Have the ability to work on own initiative with minimal supervision and work as part of a team;
• Demonstrate excellent communication and problem-solving skills;
• Strong level of all round Electrical Engineering knowledge, with at least 3 years’ experience gained within a Manufacturing environment;
• The ability to interpret Electrical and Mechanical engineering drawings.

Preference will be given to candidates with:

• Previous experience working in the food industry.

This position operates on a two-week rotating shift pattern, as outlined below:
Week 1
Monday: 06:00 – 18:30, Tuesday: 06:00 – 18:30, Saturday: 06:00 – 18:30, Sunday: 06:00 – 18:30. 
Week 2
Monday: 06:00 – 18:30, Thursday: 06:00 – 18:30, Friday: 06:00 – 18:30.
