Purpose of the Post:
Key Role
In conjunction with other team members the senior physiotherapist will lead, coordinate and deliver a high quality physiotherapy service for in patient rehabilitation/general medicine patients in accordance with the mission, values and strategic plan of the Organisation. • Provide assessment, diagnosis, treatment and discharge from the service with appropriate self-management and signposting.
Eligibility Criteria
1. Statutory Registration, Professional Qualifications, Experience, etc
(a) Candidates for appointment must:
(i) Be registered, or be eligible for registration, on the Physiotherapists Register maintained by the Physiotherapists Registration Board at CORU. See attached link for current approved physiotherapy qualifications.

AND
(ii) Have three years full time (or an aggregate of three years full time) post qualification clinical experience.
AND
(iii) Have the requisite knowledge and ability (including a high standard of suitability and professional ability) for the proper discharge of the duties of the office.
AND
(iv) Provide proof of Statutory Registration on the Physiotherapists Register maintained by the Physiotherapists Registration Board at CORU before a contract of employment can be issued.
2. Annual Registration
(i) On appointment, practitioners must maintain aannual registration on Physiotherapists Register maintained by the Physiotherapists Registration Board at CORU.
AND
(ii) Practitioners must confirm annual registration with CORU to the HSE by way of the annual Patient Safety Assurance Certificate (PSAC).
