NAAS-- - Senior Physiotherapist General Medicine/rehabilitation WTE
Naas General Hospital are currently recruiting for Senior Physiotherapist General Medicine/Rehabilitation 0.5 WTE
There is currently one 0.5 part-time permanent position available located in Physiotherapy Department, Naas General Hospital, Naas, Co Kildare.
The post will provide physiotherapy services in the in patient general medicine & rehabilitation services. The successful staff member will work in collaboration with other staff within the in patient rehabilitation service, Day Hospital, Neurology Service and Fraility Intervention Team in ED.
A panel may be formed as a result of this campaign in NaasGeneral Hospital from which current and future, permanent and specificed purpose vacancies of full or part-time duration may be filled.
Purpose of the Post:
- In conjunction with other team members the senior physiotherapist will lead, coordinate and deliver a high quality physiotherapy service for in patient rehabilitation/general medicine patients in accordance with the mission, values and strategic plan of the Organisation.
- Provide assessment, diagnosis, treatment and discharge from the service with appropriate self-management and signposting.
Eligibility Criteria Qualifications and/ or Experience
Each candidate must at the latest date of application:
1.Professional Qualifications, Experience, etc.
(i) Be registered, or be eligible for registration, on the Physiotherapists Register maintained by the Physiotherapists Registration Board at CORU. https://www.coru.ie/
AND
(ii) Have 3 years full time (or an aggregrate of 3 years full time) post qualification clinical experience.
AND
(iii) Have the requisite knowledge and ability (including a high standard of suitability and professional ability) for the proper discharge of the duties of the office.
AND
(iv) Provide proof of Statutory Registration on the Physiotherapists Register maintained by the Physiotherapists Registration Board at CORU before a contract of employment can be issued.
1.Annual Registration
(i) On appointment practitioners must maintain annual registration on the Physiotherapists Register maintained by the Physiotherapists Registration Board at CORU.
AND
(ii) Practitioners must confirm annual registration with CORU to the HSE by way of the annual Patient Safety Assurance Certificate (PSAC).
Post Specific
- Demonstrate experience in the assessment and treatment of older persons
- Demonstrate experience working in the acute hospital setting
- Demonstrate evidence of continuing professional development relevant to the area of older persons/frailty
