There is currently one specified purpose whole-time post available in the Medical Social Work Department in Naas General Hospital.

A panel may be formed as a result of this campaign for Naas General Hospital from which current and future specified purpose vacancies of full or part-time duration may be filled.

Purpose Of The Post:

The purpose of the post is to provide a medical social work service to patients and their families attending the emergency department and other areas in Naas General Hospital as assigned by the Principal Medical Social Worker.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must by the latest date of application:

1. Professional Qualifications, Experience, etc.

a)

i) Be registered in the Social Workers Register maintained by the Social Workers Registration Board at CORU.

And

ii) Maintain live annual registration on the Social Workers Register maintained by the Social Workers Registration Board at CORU.

And

iii) Have 3 years relevant post qualification experience.

And

iv) Have the requisite knowledge and ability (including a high standard of suitability, professional and managerial ability) for the proper discharge of the duties of the office.

Health

A candidate for and any person holding the office must be fully competent and capable of undertaking the duties attached to the office and be in a state of health such as would indicate a reasonable prospect of ability to render regular and efficient service.

Character

Each candidate for and any person holding the office must be of good character.
