Nanny / Household Support

Location: Family home in Founex, near Geneva, Switzerland.

About the Family:

A family in Founex seeks a dedicated and nurturing live-in Nanny / Housekeeper to provide attentive care and support for their children (2 years and 4 years). The ideal candidate will have a warm, professional demeanour and the ability to create a structured yet engaging environment where children can thrive. The role involves a mix of childcare, organisation, housekeeping and communication with parents to ensure the well-being and development of the children.

Childcare & Development:

  • Provide consistent, attentive care that supports each child’s developmental stage.
  • Follow the mother’s guidance to maintain routines, boundaries, and family preferences.
  • Plan and organise age appropriate educational and playful activities.
  • Support daily routines, including meals, bathing, dressing, and nap times.
  • Create a warm, structured, and engaging environment where the children can thrive.
  • Transport the children to school, activities, and appointments.
  • Ensure safety at all times and follow any guidance regarding medication or first aid.
  • Maintain awareness of the children’s needs and communicate proactively with the parents.
  • Provide daily updates on routines, milestones, activities, and any concerns.

Household & Organisational Support:

  • Prepare nutritious meals for the children and occasionally for the family.
  • Keep children’s areas tidy and organised (play areas, bedrooms, and kitchen after use).
  • Carry out light housekeeping tasks.
  • Run errands when needed (groceries, dry cleaning, and ad hoc tasks).
  • Work collaboratively with the parents to ensure consistency and smooth household operations.

Candidate Profile:

  • Minimum 3 - 5 years’ experience in a nanny or childcare role; experience in private households is an advantage.
  • Fluent English, French is a plus.
  • Confident, safe driver (car provided for work use).
  • EU passport or valid right to work in Switzerland.
  • First Aid/CPR certified.
  • Ability to manage routines, stay organised, and handle a varied set of daily tasks.
  • Experience caring for children of similar ages.

Personal Qualities:

  • Warm, patient, and genuinely passionate about working with children.
  • Discreet, reliable, and comfortable in a semi-formal family setting.
  • Positive, proactive, and able to take initiative while respecting family direction.
  • Flexible for occasional evenings, weekends, or travel when required.
  • Professional appearance and strong communication skills.
