Title of Post: Neuro-Physiologist, Chief 1, Cork University Hospital

Purpose of Post:

The main purpose of this post is to:

• Provide the efficient and safe management of the Neurophysiology investigations within the department.

• Provide leadership in the performance of diagnostic tests of the neurophysiology systems to patients.

The successful candidate must be familiar with the techniques and range of equipment used in current medical practice for the diagnosis, treatment and care of Neurophysiology patients and be fully competent in performing and reporting all such investigations.

The post holder will have managerial responsibilities for their area and be actively involved in the service development. The Chief 1 post represents a challenging clinical/technical and managerial role.
