"The Practice Development Co-ordinator will: Facilitate the development of a continuous process of improvement in nursing practice in the acute setting and excellence in the quality of care being provided. The PDC will strategically plan, develop and evaluate nursing care in collaboration with the nursing management teams and nursing staff. This role requires a combined knowledge of clinical practice, project management, service management, continuing nurse education and professional development and evaluation of outcomes. The person will be required to participate in audit and research as determined by the role. There is currently one permanent whole-time post available in Louth Hospitals. A panel may be created for Louth Hospitals from which current and future permanent and specified purpose vacancies of full time or part time duration, may be filled.
