The College is seeking applications for an Engineering Design Technician as part of the PEACEPLUS North West Centre for Advanced Manufacturing 2 (NWCAM2), to be based at our Greystone campus for a fixed-term position until September 2029.
The postholder will play a key role in supporting the delivery of Strand 2 activities within the PEACEPLUS NWCAM2 programme. Reporting directly to the NWCAM2 Engineering Research and Innovation Manager, the NWCAM2 Design Technician will contribute to the development and implementation of engineering solutions for SMEs operating in the Health and Life Sciences sector. The position will involve supporting product development prototyping activities and engineering design within technical innovation projects, helping to convert new ideas into practical, high-quality outputs that are delivered within agreed timescales.
The successful candidate will assist SMEs in adopting innovative technologies, sustainable practices, and advanced manufacturing techniques, with a particular emphasis on low-carbon approaches and the application of research-led solutions. Working closely with industry partners, academic institutions, and other stakeholders, the postholder will help drive improvements in business performance, environmental sustainability, and organisational competitiveness, supporting the achievement of programme objectives and measurable outcomes.
North West Centre for Advanced Manufacturing 2 (NWCAM2) is supported by PEACEPLUS, a programme managed by the Special EU Programmes Body (SEUPB).
