We are advertising for a recruitment panel for Staff Grade Occupational Therapist positions in line with Our Lady’s Hospice & Care Services’ panel management guidelines.

The post holder will be required to work in any of the designated units as scheduled by the Occupational Therapist Manager. The Staff Grade Occupational Therapist will be responsible for the provision of an Occupational Therapy Service in a designated clinical area or to a designated group of patients and will carry out clinical and educational duties as assigned by the Senior Occupational Therapist/Clinical Specialist Occupational Therapist/Occupational Therapist Manager.

Essential Requirements - Statutory Registration, Professional Qualifications & Experience

Candidates for appointment must:

  • Open to Graduate from Irish colleges for 2024.
  • Must be a current 4th year student or recently completed same.
  • Be registered, or be eligible for registration, on the Occupational Therapists Register maintained by the Occupational Therapists Registration Board at CORU. (https://www.coru.ie/)
  • Provide proof of Statutory Registration on the Occupational Therapists Register maintained by the Occupational Therapists Registration Board at CORU before a contract of employment can be issued.

Annual registration:

  • On appointment practitioners must maintain annual registration on the Occupational Therapists Register maintained by the Occupational Therapists Registration Board at CORU.
  • Have the requisite knowledge and ability (including a high standard of suitability and professional ability) for the proper discharge of the duties of the office.
  • Relevant undergraduate occupational therapy placement experience in one or more of the following areas: Care of the Older Person, Palliative Care, Rheumatology.
