Occupational Therapist, Senior

The person appointed to posts will work as part of multidisciplinary teams delivering a coordinated approach to client care either in Adult and Children Services Primary Care or Older Persons Services.

The Occupational Therapy Services within Community Healthcare Services in Sligo / Leitrim / West Cavan / South Donegal provide, high quality, holistic and client centred care at the right time and in the right place to those in our community, according to principles of Sláintecare.

The Occupational Therapy team have varying and innovative clinical roles at Occupational Therapy Assistant, Staff grade, Senior, Clinical Specialist Occupational Therapist and Management grades. All staff have access to and engage in formal clinical supervision with a designated supervisor and can also access peer supervision on a regular basis.

Community Healthcare Services are the broad range of services that include Primary Care, Disability Services, Older Person Services, Mental Health and Health & Wellbeing Services. These services are delivered through the HSE and its funded agencies to people in local communities, as close as possible to people’s homes. Location of Post

Within Integrated Healthcare Area in Sligo / Leitrim / South Donegal we may have permanent and specified purpose vacancies across our Primary and Social Care Divisions at Senior Grade. We will be creating a panel to fill current and future vacant posts.

The successful candidates may be required to work in any service area within the vicinity as the need arises.

The following Clinical Care Groups will form panels within this campaign.

· Primary Care to include Adult, Older Persons and Paediatric service

· Social Care to include Adult and Older Persons including Residential Care / ICTOP / Reablement / Falls / MTRR / Rehabilitation / MASS

A panel may be created from this campaign from which future permanent and specified purpose vacancies of full or part time duration may be filled. Managers reserve the right to seek bespoke campaigns where deemed necessary, if a specific skill-set / competencies are required to full-fill the role.
