What is the Role:
The Operational Resilience Specialist roleis a key role within the Operational Resilience team, within the Group Resilience function.
The role holder will provide support for scenario testing, MI reporting and support for our internal stakeholders to ensure alignment to Operational Resilience regulations, by ensuring that AIB can identify, prepare for, respond, adapt and recover from operational disruptions. They will also provide support to the continuity team within Group Resilience and support Business Continuity lifecycle activities.
Key accountabilities;
- Co-ordinate the design, planning and execution of severe but plausible scenario tests, to measure AIB’s ability to respond to service disruptions.
- Management of a Scenario Test Library and ensure alignment to industry and best practice.
- Ensure continuous improvement of the scenario testing process through identification and implementation of key learnings and agreed process improvements.
- Analysis of Operational Resilience Data including scenario testing outputs, to understand trends and inform decision-making for resilience.
- Collation and interpretation of MI to report on the resilience of our services.
- Coordination and support with regards to the annual review of services.
- Providing support for the Operational Resilience tooling solution.
- Continually work to strengthen the bank’s capabilities to respond in the event of an operational disruption and demonstrate continuous improvement.
- Presentation of Operational Resilience data to business stakeholders and AIB Management.
- Engagement and support for our senior leaders and SMEs across the organisation to embed Operational Resilience to ensure the resilience of our Vital Business Services.
- Keeping abreast of industry trends and best practice within the Operational Resilience and interpretation of regulation, to ensure best practice is embedded in the organisation.
- Assist with the embedding of the Continuity culture across AIB through supporting and participating in the Business Continuity lifecycle.
