Operations Apprentice

We are offering the successful candidates the unique opportunity to take their first step into the engineering work environment to earn learn and train in a structured program. Working within the main production areas in our Ballymoney site, the successful candidate will learn on the job whilst achieving a nationally recognized qualification.

We are looking for new or just qualitied apprentices to work in our Ballymoney operations which includes

• Machine Shop
• Weld/Fabrication
• Paint Shop
• Assembly

Main Duties & responsibilities

• Demonstrating our zero-harm culture in all aspects of the role
• Operating with our zero-defects in mind – for ourselves, internal stake holders and customers
• Develop an understanding of Lean Principles & methodology.
• Work within a team environment and able to use own initiative
• Follow instructions from supervisors/TL’s/Training team
• Complying with current and future Health & Safety laws, processes and procedures
• Following Standard Work procedures.
• Any other reasonable duty as instructed.

About you

Essential

• To be enrolled in a relevant apprenticeship for 2021 – studying towards Level 2/3 NVQ
• Motivated self-starter with an eye for detail.
• Good verbal and written communication skills

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Enthusiastic and motivated
• Ability to work on own initiative
• Excellent teamwork skills
• Good attention to detail
