Operations Contract Manager

A permanent vacancy currently exists within Mid and East Antrim Borough Council for the following post and applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced candidates:-

Operations Contracts Manager
37 Hours per week
Scale P06, SCP 42-45, Currently £53,460 - £56,730 per annum.
Location: The location of the post will be in Ballymena but requirements of the post may result in the postholder having to work in locations across Mid and East Antrim.

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB

• Management of operational support functions. Specific responsibilities will include Commercial Contracts, Waste and Recycling Contracts, Management of the Councils Landfill Site, Transfer Stations and Central Stores.
• Work as a member of the Management Team and actively participate in other cross cutting initiatives to secure delivery of council’s Waste Management Plan.
• Effectively manage, motivate, monitor and develop all staff in providing value for money services and proactively bringing about improvement and development.
