OS Fine Turf Greenkeeper Apprenticeship

Candidates will be required to provide photographic identification to confirm their right to work and identity and original certificates to confirm essential qualifications. Failure to provide the required documents will result in withdrawal from the process. The successful candidate will be required to attend a pre-employment health assessment on 15th September 2026.

Job Purpose:
The post holder will train to become a fully competent member of a grounds maintenance team under the direction of the Head Groundsperson, undertaking both basic and skilled fine turf and greenkeeping duties across parks, playing fields, bowling greens, golf courses, cricket grounds, landscaped areas and open spaces. The role requires flexibility in working hours, location and duties across the Borough, including training in the care and maintenance of buildings, sports equipment, sports facilities and general amenity areas. The post holder will also develop competence in fine turf maintenance, daily operations, the safe use of plant and equipment, and the delivery of effective customer care within parks and sports grounds.
