Outdoor Spaces Operations Manager

To assist the Outdoor Spaces Manager (OSM), in the maintenance of high-quality, safe parks and open spaces. To manage and operationally maintain locations in a sustainable manner in line with Council’s policies and procedures including:​​​​​​​

• Playing fields and other outdoor sport/leisure facilities
• Playgrounds
• Parks and open spaces.
• To ensure continuous improvement to deliver a high-quality service to meet the needs of customers/users, adopting an innovative business planning approach underpinned by best practice.

The post holder will assist the OSM in bring about transformational change within the Service, ensuring integration of service functions and responsibilities. They will be responsible for the management and delivery of a high-quality, flexible maintenance service to meet the needs of customers/users in line with best practice and will be required to maximise business development potential.

The post holder will be required to work collaboratively and proactively to foster and sustain effective relationships and partnerships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders including other officers, elected members, outside bodies and local citizens to advance the Corporate and Departmental agendas.
