Outpatient & Ambulatory CARE Programme Manager

The Outpatient and Ambulatory Care Programme Manager will be responsible for the strategic development and day-to-day management of the NRH’s Ambulatory and Outpatient services. This key leadership role ensures the delivery of high-quality, patient-centred care in line with regulatory standards, accreditation requirements, and quality frameworks. The post holder will drive efficiency and effectiveness across all outpatient and ambulatory care functions, overseeing administrative operations, standardising processes, and fostering collaboration among clinical departments and senior leadership. With a strong focus on continuous improvement, the OP & AC Programme Manager will implement and evaluate service policies, manage resources and facilities, and provide comprehensive reporting and performance data to support excellence in service delivery.

Qualifications

Candidates must at the latest date of receiving completed application forms for the office, possess:

  • Relevant 3rd level health or professional qualification, with master’s or higher preferred.
  • Greater than 5 years post qualification clinical or professional work experience within a health care setting, with experience in comprehensive rehabilitation setting preferred.
  • Good clinical knowledge of issues related to rehabilitation and care of the individuals served by the programme.
  • Good knowledge of ambulatory/scheduled care administrative processes and procedures, including Telehealth services.

It is desirable that the candidate will have:

  • Qualification in a relevant clinical area that is validated by the Department of Health & Children.
  • At least 3 years of management or supervisory experience in the delivery of health or rehabilitation services, including line management of staff preferably in an interdisciplinary setting.
  • Evidence of professional development post qualification.
  • Further qualifications in business or health management (Substantial and relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of higher qualifications).
  • Knowledge of other relevant important stakeholders and service providers related to care the target population
  • Working knowledge and experience in design, implementation and control of various quality control and accreditation standards
  • Evidence of project management and/or health service developments
  • Experience in clinical administration practices and management.
  • Data Management & Reporting.
