Remuneration is in accordance with the salary scale approved by the Department of Health:
Current salary scale with effect from 1st February 2026: Grade, Code 0609, starting at Point 1 €31,618 and rising annually in increments: €48,972 LSIS.
Purpose of the Role
The purpose of this post is to provide administrative support the Outpatients department within Children’s Health Ireland Tallaght. This will include Outpatients and other areas from time to time.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Professional Duties and Responsibilities:
The post holder will be expected to live CHI values and be child-centered, compassionate, progressive and will act with respect, excellence and integrity.
Post handling
Filing of medical documentation
Chart pulling
Clinic preparation
Dealing with telephone queries
Outpatients’ reception duties
Any other duties as directed by line manager

Eligibility Criteria, Qualifications and Experience
Essential Criteria:
Leaving Certificate or equivalent
Proficient with Microsoft Office Applications
Excellent organisation skills
Excellent written and communication skills
Ability to prioritize work
Excellent telephone manner
Desirable Criteria:
Previous Hospital Experience
Experience using patient management systems
