Outreach Employment Manager

Permanent Full Time Contract

Location: Limerick City & County

The person appointed to this post will be responsible for the day to day management of the Outreach Employment Service in Limerick City & County.

The primary purpose of the post is to provide people supported with the opportunity to gain and sustain employment/self-employment or to access education and training to improve their employment prospects.

Our goal is to promote inclusion and participation in education and employment for people with disabilities, in their local communities.

Essential

• Applicants must have a relevant third level qualification e.g. Bachelors of Education, Diploma or postgraduate qualification in Education or Community, Nursing (RNID), Social Care, Occupational Therapy, Speech and Language Therapy, Teaching, Youth and Community Studies, Psychology, Social Work all to a degree level qualification
• Relevant qualification in Management
• Have at least 3 years post qualification experience in people management
• Have a proactive approach to leading, driving and implementing change with excellent interpersonal communication, networking and IT skills
• Have strong leadership qualities, highly motivated, innovative with the ability to work on own initiative along with the skills to manage and influence staff in a team working environment
• Have relevant knowledge and experience of providing services to adults with an Intellectual Disability and Autism
• Possess a full clean driving licence and own vehicle
• Have a working knowledge of HSE’s New Directions Standards for Day Services & the Person Centred planning process
• Will be required to meet staff and people supported by the services on a regular basis
