Role description:

This is a part time, onsite role for a Legal Accountant/Bookkeeper in Galway city. The role will involve day-to-day tasks related to legal accounting and bookkeeping primarily on Practice Evolve legal accounts software. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining financial records relating to client account and office accounts, preparing financial reports, managing accounts payable and receivables, assisting with budgeting and financial planning including preparation of year-end file for external accountants and auditors, and liaising with solicitors and legal assistants on client ledger matters.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years accounting or bookkeeping experience preferable;
  • Relevant experience in solicitor accounts role preferable;
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines;
  • Ability to prioritise work and manage time effectively;
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in financial data entry;
  • Good communication skills and follow up

Working hours:

  • Part time 1-2 days per week full day hours or 3-4 days per week morning hours (negotiable).

Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of legal accounting principles and practices;
  • Recognised qualification in finance, accounting, legal accounting or related field;
  • Proficiency in accounting software;
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
