Painter/Panel Beater Assistant

Barna Recycling, Connacht’s leading waste management provider, are currently seeking a panel beater’s assistant in our workshop at our Carrowbrowne Facility just outside Galway City. This role will give the successful candidate the opportunity to learn all aspects of painting/panel beating on cars, light goods and heavy goods vehicles.

Duties & Responsibilities:

· Assisting with all aspects of work in our workshop.

· Assisting with filling and sanding vehicle bodies/body parts.

· Assisting with restoration, refinishing and repainting work.

· Dismantling and assembling various vehicle parts.

· Washing and preparing vehicles for painting.

· Maintaining a clean work environment and follow health & safety procedures.

Skills:

· Willingness to learn all aspects of work within the workshop.

· Ability to use hand and power tools associated with the job.

· Ability to work on your own and within a team.

· Attention to detail.

· Knowledge/interest of car mechanics.

Qualifications:

· Strong interest in automotive industry.

· Experience in a similar role an advantage.

Remuneration:

· Competitive rate depending on experience.
