PART OR FULLY QUALIFIED MOTOR TECHNICIAN

Erne Motor Works, Toyota Cavan are looking to hire a qualified motor technician to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have experience in all aspects of vehicle servicing, diagnostics and be capable of producing quality work in a fast-paced environment.

Applicants will ideally:

• Be fully qualified as a motor mechanic or 3 rd / 4 th year Apprentice.
• Have experience in all aspects of vehicle servicing and diagnostics.
• Be motivated and capable of producing quality work in a busy environment.
• Work well under pressure, while maintaining efficiency and productivity.
• Hold a full driver licence.
• Have Excellent computer skills.
• Have a flexible approach to work and be willing to work overtime if required.
• Have good communication skills and work well as part of a team whilst also using own initiative.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities:

• To service & repair vehicles, including computer diagnostics.
• Perform work as outlined on the job card with efficiency and accuracy in accordance with dealership and Manufacturer standards.
• To make written and verbal reports on service and repair activity to Aftersales Manager.
• Maintaining a clean and neat workspace and adhering to all company policies and safety standards.
• Examining the vehicle and performing vehicle health checks to determine if additional safety or service work is required.
• Communicating with parts department to obtain needed parts, inform Aftersales Manager if vehicle is awaiting parts.
• Keeping abreast of Toyota technical standards and attendance at internal / external training as required.
