Part-Qualified Accountant

We are a busy Accountancy Practice who require candidates with a minimum of 2 years experience working in an Accountancy Practice environment.

The ideal candidate should have a high level of numeric accuracy, will have the aptitude to work on their own initiative, and will be ambitious and enthusiastic.

Exceptional written and spoken English is necessary and must be pursuing an ACCA or CPA qualification.

Brief Job description: -

You will be working as part of a team of accountants, with a diverse range of clients.

Your role will involve but is not restricted to;

  • Preparation of financial statements for Limited companies to meet compliance standards.
  • Preparation of Sole trade, Partnership and Income & Expenditure Accounts.
  • Preparation of income tax returns and other tax computations
  • Managing client bookkeeping and payroll services
  • Preparation of VAT Returns
  • Audit testing and audit file completion
  • Assisting junior staff members and reporting to the manager/partners

Skills required:

  • High level of numeric accuracy & attention to detail
  • Be highly organised with ability to prioritise workload and multi-task
  • Good time management skills to meet deadlines
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills as well as good interpersonal skills to facilitate client service
  • Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
  • Good working knowledge of SAGE, Xero Accounts, Relate Accounts Production, Surf Accounts Production, Excel
  • Be driven and motivated to succeed

Experience / Qualifications:

  • Experience working in an Accountancy Practice or other relevant position
  • Good background in Accountancy and/or Business Studies
  • Knowledge of current Accounting Standards.
  • Must be pursuing an ACCA or CPA qualification
