Part-Time Cleaner

Location: Montague Hotel, Emo, Portlaoise

We are seeking a reliable, hardworking, and motivated Cleaner to join our team. The successful candidate will have a good standard of written and spoken English, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout the centre, both internally and externally.
• Clean and maintain public areas, bedrooms, bathrooms, and communal facilities.
• Undertake routine cleaning and deep cleaning duties on a rotational basis.
• Dust, sweep, mop, and wash corridors and common areas.
• Assist with the preparation, clearing, and cleaning of bedrooms as required.
• Manage rubbish and waste disposal in accordance with centre procedures.
• Maintain cleaning supplies, stock rooms, and inventory levels.
• Report maintenance issues, hazards, accidents, and incidents to management promptly.
• Assist with emergency procedures and follow centre policies and protocols.
• Welcome official visitors and inspectors, ensuring visitor sign-in procedures are followed and management is notified of their arrival.
• Assist with the induction of new staff members when requested by management.

Requirements

• Applicants must be resident in Ireland and hold the appropriate permission to work in Ireland.
• Good attendance and punctuality record.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Garda Vetting (or Police Vetting where applicable) will be required.
• Two written references.
• Valid photographic identification (passport or equivalent).
• Proof of address.

Employment Details

• Part-time position.
• 24–36 hours per week.
• Flexibility to work across a seven-day rota may be required.
