Part-Time Company Accountant, Flexible Hours

Location: Midleton, Co. Cork (Hybrid)

Hours: Part-time - approx. 2.5 days per week / 20 Hours

Contract: Permanent, part-time

Salary: Competitive, based on experience

About the Business

We are an established Irish retail business operating five locations across Ireland, with a growing focus on more structured financial reporting.

The Role

We are seeking an experienced Part-Time Company Accountant to take ownership of the day-to-day finance and accounts function and support management with accurate, timely financial information. This is a hands-on role with autonomy, flexibility and a consistent workload.

Key Responsibilities

• Bank and Visa card reconciliations
• Processing supplier invoices and managing payments
• Preparation and submission of VAT returns
• Payroll support, including liaison with an outsourced payroll provider
• Preparation of bi-monthly management accounts and analysis for investors
• Cashflow reviews and annual budget creation
• Acting as the main point of contact for external accountants, Revenue and advisors
• General finance and administration support to management

Skills & Experience

• Fully qualified ACA / ACCA
• Previous experience in a hands-on company accounting role
• Strong understanding of Irish VAT and payroll processes
• Experience preparing management accounts
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and manage deadlines
• Knowledge of Bright Books is advantageous but not essential
