Part Time CSP Afternoon Housekeeper required for housekeeping duties in a Childcare Setting - Cleaning and Food Handling.
- This position is funded under the community services programme and no formal qualification is required; however, candidates who are experienced and have undertaken training with valid current certification are preferred.
- Hours: Monday to Friday Afternoons 12.30pm to 6pm or 1pm to 6pm. No mornings, evenings or weekends.
Requirements:
- Ability to understand and follow safety precautions and directions and a willingness to attend further training and development is essential.
- Proven experience in catering using a HACCP system of food safety and experience operating housekeeping equipment and maintaining a rigorous cleaning programme is preferred.
- Candidates must be fluent in spoken and written English and have necessary communication, literacy and record keeping skills as record keeping and communicating is integral to the role.
- Candidates must have an interest in working in a childcare service with children and be able to engage with children.
- Must be flexible, self-motivated and able to work alone as well as take direction and work as part of a team
- This position is supported by the Community Services Programme (CSP) Applicants must meet the eligibility criteria for the programme listed on www.pobal.ie and be in receipt of a payment from the department of social protection such as jobseekers benefit/allowance, carers allowance/benefit one parent family payment or currently on a labour activation scheme such as TUS or Community Employment.
- Applicants must supply two suitable written work references if selected for interview and must be in a position to submit their details for Garda Vetting. International police clearance/vetting is required if a candidate has lived outside of Ireland.
