Pathology Business Manager

The Pathology Business Manager is responsible to the Director of Pathology and works under

the general direction of the Laboratory Manager within assigned areas on the development

and implementation of patient focused, value-added Pathology services for the hospital.

She / he adds value and contributes to the delivery of the Hospital’s objectives by working

with clinicians and scientists as a business partner and acting as the local point of contact in

Pathology for the provision of business advice, support and guidance.

She / he is responsible for the development of effective working relationships and for the

implementation of a variety of Pathology initiatives and action plans that positively influence

patient and staff experience within the directorates and departments across the hospital.

As a member of the Pathology Directorate Management Team she / he acts as a lead

business specialist across Pathology and has general responsibility for planning and

development activities to assist and support the implementation of Pathology Strategy.
