Job Title: Pathways Programme Facilitator
Location: Drumcondra, Dublin
Reporting to: Pathways Manager
Contract Type:
Permanent / Full Time
Contract Hours: 39 per week
Salary Scale Range: €34,206-€43,703
Annual Leave: 25 days

Role Overview:

The Programme Facilitator works under the direction of the Pathways Manager to deliver high-quality, person-centred support to Pathways students. The role focuses on promoting independence, supporting personal development, and ensuring each student is empowered to achieve their goals in a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

· Deliver person-centred supports tailored to the individual needs, goals, and aspirations of Pathways students.

· Promote and safeguard the wellbeing, dignity, and rights of all students at all times.

· Support students in achieving academic accreditation through QQI and ASDAN programmes.

· Contribute to the development and implementation of Person-Centred Plans in line with the National New Directions Policy and Guidelines.

· Facilitate regular sessions to support students in reviewing and progressing their personal goals.

· Assist students with activities of daily living, including personal care and participation in programme activities, where required.

· Provide support to students both on campus and within the community, including assisting with transport needs as appropriate.

· Maintain effective communication with colleagues and families to support student progress and wellbeing.

· Complete daily handovers and maintain accurate, timely records.

· Ensure all student documentation is up to date, including personal plans, risk assessments, medical passports, and related records.

· Record and report any incidents and accidents in line with organisational policies.

· Participate in relevant training and continuous professional development.

· Contribute actively to team meetings and organisational planning processes.

Skills and Qualifications:

Essential

· Relevant qualification in Social Care, Healthcare, Education, or a related field (minimum Level 5/6 on the QQI framework or equivalent).

· Experience supporting individuals with additional needs, particularly in an educational or community setting.

· Strong understanding of person-centred approaches and inclusive practice

· Knowledge of the New Directions Policy and Guidelines.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams.

· Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

· Good organisational and administrative skills, including record-keeping and report writing.

· A flexible, proactive, and empathetic approach to supporting students.

· Full, clean driving licence and willingness to transport students if required.

Desirable

· Experience delivering QQI and/or ASDAN programmes.

· Experience facilitating person-centred planning and key working sessions.

· Training in safeguarding, manual handling, or first aid.

Other Requirements:

· Eligible to work in Ireland

· Satisfactory Reference Checks and Garda Vetting

· Available to interview in person
