Payments in AIB:

The Payments delivery function are responsible for managing the design and implementation of strategic and regulatory change for AIBs Payments Business. The function has accountability for the delivery of a reliable, resilient and market leading payments offering for consumers and business customers across the payments application estate. We are responsible for a critical element of the bank's infrastructure and operate in a market that is increasingly innovative, technologically based and competitive.

A vacancy now exists for a Technical Analyst to join the team. The Role requires a candidate who is passionate about payments, skilled in technical requirements analysis and driven to produce high quality outcomes for the bank.

The Role

The role presents an exciting and challenging opportunity for a driven and ambitious Technical Analyst to join our Payments IT Delivery function.

Utilising AIB’s Delivery Framework, the successful candidate will engage with the relevant management teams, business colleagues and external IT partners throughout the project lifecycle – leading the technical analysis and implementation of payments change across the AIB payments application estate.

This role, which is a Level 3 Technology role with the Bank’s new career model, will report directly the IT delivery lead

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Can influence & engage business & IT stakeholders in the refinement of payments business requirements, and complete the analysis, design and implementation of change onto the banks strategic payments engine.
  • Can collaborate with the IT delivery team and wider eco-system teams and stakeholder groups to ensure change and service migration approaches are adopted to minimize service risk & optimize delivery.
  • Review functional, technical and application documentation to assess fitment and feasibility of business requirements.
  • Can cultivate innovation and drive continuous improvements to the delivery process via adoption of industry best practices
  • Will work closely with the Service Assurance team throughout lifecycle of change & provide detailed handovers as change is delivered into production environments and integrated to the wider payments ecosystem.
  • Creates an environment where creative thinking is encouraged and developed to ensure that we maintain best in class products and propositions.
  • Will adhere to AIB standard processes/procedures and policies including change management, audit, security, SOX etc.

Does this sound like something that you want to be part of?

You will need to show us that you can/have:

  • Payments application specific knowledge is a must – have, & ISO20022/SEPA/SWIFT familiarity is extremely advantageous.
  • 6+ years’ enterprise technology and change delivery experience – with experience in large scale systems integration projects.
  • Technical analysis & problem solving skills with ability to perform meaningful competitive analysis & Self-starter with ability to work on own initiative and strong attention to detail, completing tasks to a very high degree of accuracy.
  • An appreciation for I.T. systems and the ability to communicate clearly with technical leads required to deliver successful project outcomes.
  • Has a solid understanding of application, information, infrastructure and integration technologies & Project and programme management planning and organisational skills
