Payroll Co-Ordinator
The role:
The Europe Payroll Department in Cork is responsible for the completion of the monthly European payroll (ca. 850 employees across 26+ countries).
Working with the Payroll team lead and Payroll coordinator, the Europe Payroll Administrator will support all aspects of the payroll process including registration, taxes and employee settlement.
This is a fixed term contract for 6 months.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Collation of payroll data from internal sources & communication to external payroll providers in line with strict deadlines.
Accurate payroll processing in line with country local requirements.
Validation of monthly payroll payments via reconciliation of reports from payroll providers with internal sourced data.
Provision of accounting information to the Europe General Ledger teams in a timely & accurate manner.
Month end payroll activities – journal preparation, accruals and employee tax reconciliations.
Ensure that all monthly Tax & Social Security payments and any other miscellaneous statutory payments or deductions are made within each country’s deadlines.
Manage the queries ensuring mails are answered in a timely manner.
Work with the Europe Team Leader and external providers regarding specific ad-hoc payroll activity such as terminations, unique holiday situations etc.
Maintenance of the cashflow schedule for Finance
Raise and receipt monthly or annual POs as required
Collection and collation of data as required
Ad-hoc reporting for HR/Finance as required
Working with internal and external audits to ensure the integrity of payroll information.
Responsible for ensuring that the quarterly MBO & Commission payments process is co-owned with HR/Finance and that all payments are made on time in an efficient manner.
Assist in the checking and electronic distribution of quarterly commission statements.
Collaboration and communication with cross functional departments based within and outside the Operations Centre is essential especially for HR & Finance.
You have:
Strong Microsoft Office experience notably excel
Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Good time management and organisational skills
Payroll automation skills
You are:
Interested in a career within Payroll particularly Europe Payroll.
Capable of working both independently and as part of a team
A fast thinker, problem solver, able to translate business needs into pragmatic solutions and implement them
Desirable but not essential:
Experience of operating Payroll processes in a Shared Services Centre or multi-country/multi-currency corporate environment is advantageous,
A working knowledge of Payroll or Accounting systems.
A Diploma/Degree level or high level Accountancy desirable.
A Minimum Leaving Certificate Maths or Accounting certification
IPASS qualification, part-qualified or international equivalent.
