Payroll Officer
About the Role
Komfort Kare is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organised Payroll Officer / Payroll Clerk to join our team on a part-time basis. This role will be based in our Kilcullen office and will support the accurate administration and preparation of payroll information for employees across our organisation.
The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring payroll data is processed accurately, employee records are maintained, and payroll-related queries are managed efficiently.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and maintain payroll information for processing.
- Validate employee hours, timesheets, leave records and payroll inputs.
- Calculate and verify payroll-related payments and deductions, including sick pay, holiday pay and statutory deductions.
- Reconcile payroll reports and investigate discrepancies or anomalies.
- Review Gross-to-Net reports and other payroll-related documentation.
- Maintain accurate employee payroll records and documentation.
- Liaise with managers and employees regarding payroll queries.
- Work closely with finance and HR teams to ensure payroll compliance.
- Support coordination with external payroll providers.
- Ensure payroll information is processed in line with company policies and relevant legislation.
- Assist with payroll reporting and administrative duties as required.
- Previous payroll administration experience.
- Excellent Microsoft Excel skills, including formulae, filtering, sorting and data validation.
- Experience calculating deductions, sick pay, holiday pay and related payroll elements.
- Knowledge of payroll legislation and compliance requirements.
- Strong understanding of payroll reporting, including Gross-to-Net reports.
- Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to identify and investigate discrepancies.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to meet strict deadlines.
- Experience with timesheet administration, employee hours validation and leave management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience using BrightHR software.
- Experience supporting payroll across multiple locations.
- Experience working with outsourced payroll providers.
- Competitive hourly rate of €15–€18 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
- Flexible part-time hours (15–18 hours per week).
