Payroll Officer

Job Purpose:

The Payroll Officer will be a key player in the Payroll Department –a department which has full responsibility for the accurate preparation, processing and payment of fortnightly and monthly payrolls for the Mater Misericordia University Hospital and the associated reporting and compliance matters.

The duties of the Payroll Officer are to prepare, process and manage end to end accurate payrolls, and assist and support the Payroll Manager , Payroll Team, and Finance Department. Manage compliance with all policies and statutory regulation. Work to develop both with internal and external agencies to provide best practice in all payroll matters. Ad-hoc projects and duties as required.

The role is primarily a Finance role however there may be a requirement to work/assist as required in any section of the Finance Departments as directed.

The post holder will work closely with the:

· Payroll Manager & Payroll Team

· Finance Department

· Human Resources Departments

· HealthRoster Team

· Medical HR Department

· Department Heads throughout the Mater Campus.
