Payroll Processor

We are seeking a Payroll Processor to join Dalata’s expanding Shared Service Centre in Cork City.

Dalata Hotel Group PLC is Ireland’s largest hotel operator, with a current portfolio of 55 hotels. Dalata successfully operates Ireland’s two largest hotel brands, the Clayton and the Maldron Hotels across Ireland, the UK, and mainland Europe, as well as managing a small portfolio of partner hotels.

The role requires the successful candidate to process payroll with efficiency, accuracy, and attention to detail to ensure a smooth payroll process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process weekly/monthly payroll end-to-end for employees in the UK and Ireland.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders in collating and validating data for processing.
  • Administer payments for Statutory Sick Pay, Statutory Maternity Pay, Statutory Paternity Pay, and all UK statutory absences.
  • Respond to all employee and manager payroll queries in an efficient and timely manner.
  • Supporting the Payroll Manager with current projects - system testing, parallel payroll testing, documentation, and change management.

Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience in payroll or administrative work.
  • Exceptional customer relations, demonstrating empathy and a flexible approach that adapts to the needs of the business.
  • Experience using payroll processing engines would be a benefit - Megapay/SAGE Cloud and Micropay.
  • Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities, along with unwavering integrity, discipline, and attention to detail.
  • Proficient user of the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year’s experience working in payroll processing with more than 50+ employees.
  • UK Payroll experience is an advantage but not essential.
  • IPASS qualification/CIPD qualification or similar is advantageous but not essential.
