Salary: Starting salary Pt 32 - £25,229.10 per annum, Pt 32 – 34 (£35,321.89 - £37,313.15 pro rata)​​​​​​​
Contract: Permanent
Work hours: 25 hours per week

Your new role 
The Payroll Specialist is responsible for the end-to-end delivery of payroll across all company sites, ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time while maintaining compliance with payroll legislation, tax regulations and statutory reporting requirements.

Working as part of the Finance team, the role is responsible for all payroll processing, reporting and associated controls, acting as the organisation's payroll subject matter expert. The Payroll Specialist is responsible for maintaining payroll systems and records, managing relationships with HMRC, pension providers and external agencies, and ensuring all submissions and payments are completed accurately and within required deadlines.​​​​​​​

The role also supports continuous improvement through the development of payroll procedures, system enhancements, ensuring payroll processes remain efficient, compliant and fit for purpose.​​​​​​​

What we need from you
  • Minimum of 3 years’ paid work experience of processing a payroll function for 100+ staff.
  • Highly proficient in Sage Payroll software
  • IT proficiency to include MS Office suite.
  • Strong knowledge of UK payroll legislation, PAYE, National Insurance, statutory payments and pensions
  • Knowledge of year-end payroll processes, including P60 and P11D administration
