Payroll Specialist

Overview of Role:

We are seeking for a part-time Payroll Specialist for a 6 months FTC contract role with Ergo. You will be responsible for the preparation and verification of monthly payrolls for our 500 employees and will be joining a dynamic and engaged People and Culture Team.

Part-time role: 20 hours per week

Fixed Term Contract: 6 months

Fully remote role: must be based in Ireland

Key Role Responsibilities:

  • Preparation and verification of monthly payrolls for our 500 employees. 
  • Checking, reviewing, and inputting of payroll data for accuracy, ensuring that deadlines are met. 
  • Liaising and managing relationships with outsourced payroll providers. 
  • Responsible for processing and reconciliation of employee pension payments 
  • Responsible for processing and reconciliation of employee Health Care BIK and payment to health care providers. 
  • Responsible for processing and reconciliation of bank transfers and funding to support payroll payments runs. 
  • Supporting managers and employees with payroll queries and managing outcomes. 
  • Completing registrations and audits for new hires and manage employee exits from a payroll perspective. 
  • Calculating and processing any intercompany payroll recharges. 
  • Calculating bonuses and allowances. 
  • Reporting on payroll expenses in compliance with the Enhance Reporting Requirements. 
  • Ensuring salaries and tax withholdings comply with regulations. 
  • Maintaining all payroll operations according to company policies and procedures 
  • Supporting payroll projects as required. 

Education, Qualifications and Skills:

  • A minimum of an Accounting Technician or Payroll Association (IPASS) or equivalent qualification.
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, business administration or related field is desirable.
  • 2-3 years payroll experience.
  • Proficiency in Excel and MS Office.
  • Strong knowledge in Irish Income Tax.
  • Customer service experience and focus on excellence.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Experience with international payroll is a plus but not essential.
