Role: People & Culture Coordinator

Location: Grace Park Road, Drumcondra, Dublin 9

Hours: 39 hours per week

Duration: Permanent

Overall Purpose of the Post:

ChildVision, the national centre for the education of blind children, located in Drumcondra, Dublin 9, is seeking a highly motivated and qualified People & Culture Admin to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a significant period of transformation within the People & Culture function as we roll out new technology systems and management practices.

As a key member of the People & Culture team, you'll be responsible for a wide range of activities from day to day operations to being a key driver and designer of workflows as we implement the various modules of our Human Resources Information System (Strandum). Key Responsibilities:

Recruitment and Onboarding:

ChildVision currently uses Rezoomo as is candidate management system. The People & Culture Coordinator will continue to maximise the use of this system to proactively attract candidate and recruit staff.

Assist the recruiting manager to engage to the fullest extent in recruitment and selection process, onboarding and use of probation period to recruit and retain the highest caliber of individuals for ChildVision.

To ensure that recruiting managers continuously review vacancies as they arise to ensure to ensure the best job role is always being achieved for ChildVision.

Participate on interview panels for various roles across the organisation.

To collate all candidate information as they move through the recruitment and selection process.

HR Operations:

Manage day-to-day employee life cycle information and workflows.

To ensure a time transfer of employee payroll information to ensure.

Support and action any updates and/or new implementations.

Provide accurate and timely payroll information to ensure the accuracy of employee payments on a fortnightly basis.

Serve as a primary point of contact for employee and management queries, providing accurate and timely information.

Exercise sound judgement when escalating queries to relevant department heads/ line manager.

Explain complex policies and guide employees through our handbook

Facilitate and support the roll out of training sessions and input into these training modules as required.

HRIS:

Maintain the Strandum Information System (HRIS) and physical HR files, ensuring timely accuracy and confidentiality.

To continuously identify workflow efficiencies as a means of maximising the potential of the HRIS.

Compile reports on staff metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to support data-driven decisions.

To continuously develop reports to inform management decision at department and organisational level.

Teamwork:

Work effectively as part of the People and Culture.

Communicate effectively with colleagues, management, and other stakeholders.

Contribute to a positive and supportive work environment.

Participate in problem solving initiatives as the present within the department and across the organisation.

Essential Qualifications and Experience:

A minimum of a Diploma-level Human Resource Management qualification.

2 years working is a HR function.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Working knowledge of HR best practices in the Irish context.

Strong working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite.

Ability to work as part of a team and independently as is necessary.

Strong organisational and time-management skills.

Desired Qualifications and Experience:

Hold a primary degree in Human Resources.

Prior experience of working in the disability sector.

Hold membership of or be working towards CIPD membership

Pay Scale:

The salary range is €32,142 to €44,863 depending of depth and breadth of experience.

Annual leave:

Annual leave entitlement is 25 days per annum

Probation:

A probationary period of 6 months applies to review your performance and overall suitability for appointment.

Pension Scheme:

ChildVision operates a non-contributory pension scheme, which all employees may join.

Garda Clearance/ Police Clearance:

These will be required for all prospective employees who will undertake relevant work or activities relating to children or vulnerable persons. Declaration from the national vetting bureau and 3 references will be collected during the onboarding process.
