The Role: 

The Asset Operations function forms the cornerstone of service delivery to customers, protecting the environment and meeting regulatory standards as well as managing the majority of operational expenditure. The Asset Operations function has responsibility for operational and maintenance strategy, policies, planning and standard operating procedures for Water and Wastewater operations both nationally and regionally, ensuring that value for money and customer service is delivered. 

The Operations Support Team has responsibility for providing and managing effective business infrastructure and processes at a national level to support operational activities at site level.

Reporting to the Performance Delivery Manager, the Performance Delivery Analyst will conduct detailed analysis and reporting which will drive and deliver end to end improvements to ways of working for Asset Operations, that focus on enhancing customer service, efficiency, operational effectiveness and employee experience. The Performance Delivery Analyst will develop communications across Uisce Éireann’s channels to ensure that messaging is reaching right across Asset Operations staff.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Undertake employee and change communications and deliver the employee engagement strategy in Asset Operations, including supporting the development and delivery of Asset Operation-wide internal communications leveraging the appropriate channels and solutions
  • Support the delivery of the Asset Operations cultural integration plan and provide ongoing management and measurement
  • Support the drive to embed the UÉ Safety Culture across Asset Operations ensuring you take an active role in prioritising Safety standards across your team
  • Collaborate with key internal stakeholders across the Uisce Éireann 
  • Support the delivery of the Uisce Éireann Transformation Programme by driving results required within Asset Operations and supporting organisation wide objectives
  • Responsible for driving improvements in the delivery of Asset Operations activities and the wider business
  • Drive the development of specific operational service delivery improvement opportunities alongside key stakeholders in the business 
  • Champion a continual improvement culture in service delivery activities aligned to Customer First, the organisational target culture and deliver the cultural integration activities required to support Uisce Éireann Transformation Programme where assigned
  • Liaise with the Asset Operations management team and Customer Operations to identify specific opportunities to improve work management processes and procedures to effectively serve the business and our customers and put in place a regular review cycle evaluating against defined criteria including budget, resourcing and benefits and technology implications, evaluating scope and identifying synergies with other functions
  • Challenge and develop initiatives for improvements within Asset Operations, supporting testing/pilot of innovations and condition monitoring where appropriate
  • Report on benefits sustained on specific strategic projects related to Asset Operations activities, to facilitate the recommendation of standardisation across locations/ functions where appropriate
  • Support the governance process for individual operations related change projects and the Business Change portfolio
  • Collate the relevant documentation where improvement solutions information and/ or knowledge is to be shared across the business
  • Manage specific WoW changes happening in the frontline Asset Operations teams facilitated by change agents in the Performance Delivery team and across Asset Operations
  • Support the efficient on-going delivery of the enduring WAM solution nationally, liaising with key stakeholders across the business
  • Undertake assessments of skills and capabilities required in order to deliver business improvement across Asset Operations activities 
  • Other duties as required

General Duties and Responsibilities

  • Collaboration with key internal stakeholders across the UÉ business, including the following: Asset Operations, Regional Operations, Customer Operations, Continuous Improvement, Business Change, HR, Organisational Development, Employee Relations, IT, Workflow, Operations Commercial and Contracts, Internal Communications
  • Responsible for promoting and delivering health and safety commitments across UÉ and its supply chain, reinforcing positive behaviours and delivering health and safety objectives and requirements to the highest industry standards
  • Support the delivery of the Uisce Éireann Transformation Programme, driving results required within the Directorate and supporting organisation-wide objectives
  • Other duties as required.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

  • A minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience required. Experience in the water, utilities or similar industries is desirable 
  • Experience in change management initiatives, communications, process improvement and/or ways of working in an operational environment
  • Ability to implement change at multiple levels across an organisation, and tailoring approaches and communications accordingly
  • Experience managing and using communication and publication applications including Microsoft Word, Powerpoint, animation applications etc. 
  • Evidence of practical approach and flexibility to affect successful change

  • We work better together - demonstrated people management ability, proactive development, motivation and engagement of staff
  • Experience managing a team, with strong people, change management and conflict resolution skills
