Part Time Personal Assistant Needed 18 – 24 hours available per week

Áiseanna Tacaíochta (ÁT Network) is a non-profit organisation, providing leadership and support to empower people with disabilities to live with the independence, choice and freedom they are entitled to.

Ours is an innovative and progressive approach. We work right across disability; we support both self-directed and family-led services.

This position 

Based in a rural area on the Carlow/Wicklow/Wexford border. This is a person-centred role that involves providing care to a male (37) nonverbal, wheelchair user with a quiet, gentle disposition, who requires full assistance with care and support needs in his own environment.

Essential Qualities 

· Healthcare qualification or equivalent experience in home care

· Have a caring, positive and dependable personality.

· Excellent communication skills

Duties

· Provide full assistance with personal care and hygiene

· Food preparation

· Keep a homely environment, which includes daily domestic duties

Other information

· The location of this role is rural, there is no public transport serving the area, driving own’s car essential.

· Garda Vetting will need to be completed along with appropriate reference checks.
