PERSONAL ASSISTANT WANTED

Support a young man to live a more independent life

Bettystown, Co. Meath

15–20 hours per week

A young disabled man in his 20s is looking for a friendly, reliable and easy-going Personal Assistant to support him with getting out and about, work and everyday life.

He enjoys being active, meeting people, going places and getting involved in his community. He is looking for someone who can help him live more independently and do the things he enjoys.

This is a Personal Assistant role, not a traditional caring role.

WHAT THE ROLE INVOLVES

• Driving to appointments, activities, social events and work
• Supporting community activities and day-to-day life
• Assistance with wheelchair transfers and some personal care
• Light cooking and household tasks
• Supporting travel, including occasional trips and overnight stays In Ireland & Europe
• Some flexibility around hours and activities

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Someone who is:

• Friendly, reliable and flexible
• Easy-going and comfortable working independently
• A confident driver with car and a full clean driving licence
• Willing to learn on the job
• Fluent in English
• Eligible to work in Ireland/Europe

No previous PA or care experience is needed. The most important thing is having the right attitude and being willing to learn.

Living locally would be a big advantage, particularly around Bettystown, Laytown, Mornington, Drogheda and surrounding areas.
