Pharmacist

The Pharmacy Department at Tipperary University Hospital provides pharmaceutical services in the hospital which include; dispensary services, stock top up services, medicines information, provision of chemotherapy and some ward-based clinical pharmacy services.

Pharmacy services are provided by the department to patients being treated in the following specialities; medicine, surgery, obstetrics and gynaecology, paediatrics, intensive care, cardiology, oncology, emergency medicine and psychiatry (including outpatient clozapine, depot dispensing and residential unit medication supply).

The department also provides pharmacy services to Caredoc, Health Centres, Community Care Clinics, Vaccines clinics, Occupational Health. The team structure within the department comprises pharmacists, technicians, clerical administration and portering staff.
