Job Overview:

The Planning Coordinator plan and execute all customer orders across all site functions and processes ensuring that the orders are shipped on time per Scheduled Ship date achieving Customer delivery performance goals.

Duties and responsibilities include:

  • Provide input and assistance to regular completion of the European and site Revenue to Go reporting for quarterly analysis.
  • Key focus for the daily operations meeting ensuring that Build plans and schedules are up to date.
  • Liaise and meet with worldwide customer service functions and logistics teams to manage order fulfilment, set priorities, manage changes to orders and investigate and corrects deviations.
  • Work with Purchasing to achieve firm commits on material delivery and commit on internal lead-times.
  • Manage the orders for the Service business, working cooperatively with production and the Warehouse Depot Repair personnel to ensure that these orders gets focus and priority throughout the supply chain.
  • Meet with Global Technical Service Teams monthly to ensure orders and processes are getting processed within agreed turn around times.
  • Reporting on KPIs to include on time delivery performance, orders shipped, shortages and back orders.
  • Ensure all identified training and development activities are followed.
  • Work with Finance to expedite and clear all delays on orders.
  • Drive improvements to the external supply chain for International deliveries.
  • Meet aggressive deadlines on a daily, weekly and quarterly basis.
  • Prepare reports and support data for cross functional resource planning.
  • Identify areas for improvement in the overall order fulfilment process and initiate improvement projects.
  • Plan and set order fulfilment priorities in production, warehousing, shipping and distribution daily.
  • Implement the order fulfilment processes as per the organisations policies and applicable laws.
  • Support Planning colleagues by cross-training on key tasks to cover roles.
  • Participate in Lean Six Sigma projects and cost reduction initiatives.
  • Actively supports new processes and continuous improvements projects that benefit the business.
  • Has an understanding of KPI’s and their relationship to performance management.
  • Has a working knowledge of MRP / ERP systems and proficient in Microsoft Excel daily.
  • Completes weekly/monthly KPI’s for company monitoring purposes.

Our ideal candidate will have the following desired qualifications and skills:

  • Minimum of 3 years of Production planning experience
  • Excellent influencing, organisational, interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proven experience in ERP systems.
  • Ability to work under pressure with multiple priorities.
  • Demonstrate good logical approach to problem solving and project management.
  • Computer skills including excellent knowledge of Excel/MS Word
  • Driven to deliver excellent results.
  • Flexibility in supporting quarter end completions.
